Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

National leaders told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

He said utility staff and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
